### What is Arbor?

Arbor is an app that lowers the price you pay for electricity supply. In states with energy choice, you can choose an alternative electricity supplier without changing your utility company. Arbor finds and secures lower rates for you, and is available to renters and homeowners. You pay your same usual bill to your utility, but with a lower rate from an electricity supplier vetted by Arbor.

### What happens when I sign up for a new rate?

Once an enrollment with a new supplier is submitted by Arbor on your behalf, you'll receive a confirmation email with the details of your supply plan. From there, the new rate will be on your utility bill in the next 1-2 billing cycles. There's no interruption in your service, and you'll get your bill only from your utility, you'll just see the supplier rate in the supply section of the bill.

### Will I have to get a new meter or buy any new equipment?

Absolutely not! Switching your electric supplier is completely seamless—no new equipment, no installation appointments, no hassle. You get the same reliable electricity through the same utility lines, pay the same utility bill, just with a better supply rate.

### How does Arbor make money?

If you switch to a new supply rate through us, one of our energy supply partners gets a new customer and pays us a referral fee from their marketing budget. We never sell your data and we only get paid when you switch to a new rate.

### Can I switch back to my old rate?

Absolutely. If you were previously on your utility's default supply rate, you can switch back anytime but keep in mind that the utility's default prices change periodically.

### What happens if I move?

Moving is stressful enough without worrying about your energy plan. Your current energy account with your electric supplier will terminate upon the end of service at your old address, but don't worry about fees. Arbor provides a guarantee: if you do incur any moving-related fees, we'll reimburse you in full.
