How does Arbor decide if a rate is better than my current rate?

Once your utility account is linked, we analyze details like your current rate, usage, and costs. We compare what you’d pay with plans from Arbor against what you’d pay on your current plan, taking into account your estimated usage, forecasted utility rates, or your own third-party rate. We only switch you when we project you’ll save with Arbor’s plan.

Short-Term Savings: A better rate plan is one we're confident will save you money over the life of the plan — typically shorter-term contracts. We re-evaluate more frequently, so you can adapt as the market moves.
Long-Term Stability: A better rate plan is one we're confident will save you money over the full contract term, while protecting you from rising electricity prices — even if that means your rate begins slightly higher than today's.
Default Setting: If you do not actively select a preference, your account will default to Short-Term Savings.

The potential savings estimate was calculated through a rate comparison of a customer's new supply rate obtained through Arbor with the default utility rate. It is based on the 85th percentile of all Arbor customers who received a new supply rate plan, annualized based on savings YTD. Actual savings may vary and are not guaranteed. Arbor may receive compensation from suppliers for the services it provides to you. Arbor does not have access to every supplier rate and does not guarantee that the rates available through Arbor are the lowest available at any given time. See Terms of Service for details.
